Frequently Asked Questions
From what age can you take lessons?
Group lessons for kids are open from age 8. For younger children, or for a first contact with the ocean, a private lesson allows for guidance fully adapted to the child’s pace.
How do I book?
You can book directly via the online form on this page, by WhatsApp, phone, or email. Adrien will get back to you quickly to confirm your slot based on sea conditions.
Do you need to know how to swim to surf?
Knowing how to swim is essential to surf safely. Being comfortable in the water is recommended before joining our sessions. If in doubt, get in touch — Adrien will assess with you whether the conditions are right.
Is equipment provided?
Yes, boards, sunscreen and rash guards are included in all our lessons. Equipment is selected based on your level and build to maximise your progress. We also recommend applying suitable sunscreen — Surf Evolution partners with Avène to protect you from UV during your sessions.
Do lessons take place in all weather?
Sessions are scheduled according to the swell and weather conditions. The goal is always to put you in the best possible conditions to progress safely and enjoyably.

From La Réunion to Martinique, surfing runs in my blood. Born on the intense island of La Réunion, I grew up with my feet in the water, passionate about surfing since I was 6 years old. A former professional surfer with over 30 years of experience, I’ve turned my passion into my job and my philosophy of life.
Your progress is my daily challenge. Every student is unique, every journey different. That’s why I adapt my teaching to your pace, your goals and your personality. Whether you’re shy or bold, a perfectionist or laid-back, I find the words and methods that help you move forward.
